Gateway Android tablet – TP A60 available for $399

Gateway is launching it’s first Android tablet the A60. As Acer’s subsidiary its only natural to notice that the Gateway TP series A60 looks familiar. It is in fact a rebranded Acer Iconia Tab A500.

The 10.1-inch touchscreen tablet is powered by a dual-core 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Memory is expandable with an SD card.

The TP A60 comes loaded with Android 3.1 Honeycomb. Video chat is available thanks to it’s dual cameras, one rear 5-megapixel camera with flash and one front 2-megapixel camera.

Connectivity is ensured by Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB ports, micro-HDMI and DLNA.
The Gateway tablet comes with 3.5mm headphone jack, GPS, G-sensor, e-compass, light sensor, gyroscope and a battery that can last up to 8 hours of use.

The Gateway A60 Android tablet is now available from Future Shop for $399.99. The Acer Iconia Tab A500 16Gb currently bears the same price tag.
