iPhone 5 running Android? No wait, it’s the Zophone i5!

Apple has always been a source of “inspiration” to many manufacturers. The latest iPhone copy after the GooApple one is from Zophone i5 who accurately created an iPhone 5 clone.

The clone copy from the chinese manufacturer features the same resolution as the iPhone 5, namely 1,136 x 640 pixels, features Apple’s Siri voice command and even Apple’s Lightning connector. So how is it different from Apple’s iPhone 5? It runs Android. Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich more precisely. Ironic isn’t it? Just like every other iPhone clone.

Zophone, iPhone 5 clone

Other than that, the Zophone i5 is a very plain phone with some very average specs. The phone is powered by a dual-core 1.2 GHz CPU with 1 GB of RAM and 4 GB of on-board memory. It does have 2 cameras, one VGA in the front and one 8 megapixel in the rear. Note that unlike the iPhone 5, the Zophone i5 has microSD support for extra data storage.

How much does it costs? A mere $200, but for this price, you’ll make lots of curious with this unique Android/ Apple phone. The only other problem is that this phone is only available in China. Still very nice thought, for such a low price, I would have been very tempted to get my hand on one of them. How about you?
