LG upcoming Optimus Sol to feature Ultra-AMOLED screen

LG is finally introducing the LG Optimus Sol. This Android phone by LG features a 3.8-inch Ultra AMOLED screen just like the one on the Samsung Galaxy S2.

The screen on the LG Optimus Sol is optimized for proper display under the sun or under poor lighting conditions using OLED screen technology, an equivalent to Samsung’s own Ultra AMOLED touchscreens. On top of that, the OLED technology is supposed to be battery friendly.

The Sol will be running Android 2.3 Gingerbread and will be powered by a 1GHz processor. LG claims that it will be one of the cheapest Android device running with a 1GHz processor.

The LG Optimus Sol will have two cameras, one VGA front facing and one 5 megapixel camera in the back. Unfortunately, there will be no flash on the camera, but the back camera has DLNA support.

The phone will be available in 3 colors, black, white and titan. What color is titan? No idea, maybe something like grey? If anyone knows, let us know!

You can get your hands on a LG Optimus Sol starting next month in Europe.
