Google is introducing a preview of an Android SDK tool for creating apps for Google TV which was announced earlier this year during the Google I/O Conference.
With this new SDK, developers can create apps that will work beyond tablets and smartphones but also on TV. Combining TV and internet has always been a great challenge and Google is not predicting a huge number of applications to be available for Google TV at first.
Hopefully, users will eventually catch up and Google TV apps should become more and more popular. For now, you can find more details regarding the SDK package directly from the Android developers blog website.
No news onto when the SDk will be released, maybe as part of the next iteration of Android.
