LG G-Slate receiving Android 3.1 Honeycomb over the air

When T-Mobile launched the LG G-Slate tablet this spring, it came out with Android 3.0 Honeycomb. T-Mobile is now pushing an update to Android 3.1 Honeycomb OTA. You will know when it’ll be time to update your Android LG G-Slate as you’ll receive a notification on your tablet.

The new update to Android 3.1 Honeycomb will provide you with the following,

– Google Videos – A new Videos app has been added that allows you to buy and rent movies.
– Recent apps list expanded – The recent apps list has been expanded to show all apps recently used. After opening the apps list, touch one of the apps to access it.
– Home screen resizable widgets – Widgets built-in to Android 3.0 (Calendar, Email, Gmail, etc.) can now be resized vertically or horizontally on any one of the five home screens.
– USB accessory support – Customers can now attach a keyboard, pointing device, or gamepad to the G-Slate for use with typing, gaming, etc.

Obviously, the update will address any bugs and issues encountered in previous versions. All the instructions on how to get the update and how to update are available on T-Mobile’s website.
