Rogers/ HTC fix for Dream and Magic users available now!

Dream-Magic

A week ago, Rogers pulled out HTC’s Dream from the shelves due to an “911” issue. A few days later, the Magic was also affected by the same issue.

Today, a software update has been issued by Rogers/ HTC for both handset. This mandatory update should fix the 911 issue on both handset. The fix for the HTC Dream update and for the HTC Magic update can be found on the Rogers Website. Magic user’s will benefit the most from this update, since their Android OS will be updated to Android 1.5 with HTC Sense UI that supports multitouch functionality.

All data plan users will receive a one month credit since this mandatory update will increase their data usage for this month. Hopefully, this should be the last major headache Dream and Magic users will face.
