Acer started updating its newly released Tab A200 with Ice Cream Sandwich update. The update is being rolled out over the air and all Acer Tab A200 should be updated to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich by next week.
The update to Ice Cream Sandwich will bring a new and refined interface to the Tab A200. Applications should run faster, smoother and multitasking between tasks should be easier. As with most manufacturers, Acer has modified part of the Ice Cream Sandwich OS to make it more its own. For instance, Acer added its wheel Ring for easier access to apps, shortcuts, social networks and other features.
The Acer Tab A200 is Acer’s first tablet to get the update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Acer’s other tablet such as the Iconia Tab A100 7-inch tablet and Acer Iconia Tab A500 10-inch tablet should get the update in April.
