Samsung Galaxy S3 quad-core ICS Android is finally available in Europe and Middle East countries

Samsung Galaxy fans rejoice, Samsung just launched today may 29, it’s much anticipated Samsung Galaxy S3 smartphone in Britain and 28 other European and Middle East countries.

Since it’s debut in 2010, Samsung has sold millions of copies of it’s Google Android phone worldwide. The previous Samsung Galaxy, the Galaxy S2 has reached sales of 20 million copies. It goes without saying that wireless carriers and Samsung alike are expected to sell millions of copies of the Galaxy S3. Samsung is expected to release the S3 in 145 countries via 296 carriers by July.

So what does the Galaxy has to offer? Well it runs on the latest Google Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.4 and is powered by a quad-core 1.4GHz processor – the Exynos 4 Quad. It offers one of the largest smartphone touch screen with it’s 4.8 inches Super Amoled HD display. Not as large as the one on the Samsung Galaxy Notes with it’s 5.3 inches but bigger than most phones and probably the new iPhone 5.

As a side note, Samsung is Apple’s biggest competitor for smartphone market shares. Past differences between the two companies led to a multitude of lawsuits that are still on going regarding patents and products such as the iPad/ iPhone and the Galaxy Tab/ Galaxy S2.

Despite the large screen of the Samsung Galaxy S3, the battery can last a day without a problem. The S3 comes with 1GB of RAM and is available in either 16, 32 or 64GB model which is also expandable via microSD card. Add to this 50GB of cloud storage for two years courtesy of Dropbox and you’ll never run out of storage.

The Galaxy S3 boast an 8 megapixel rear camera and a 1.9 megapixel front camera. One neat feature of the S3 is it’s eye tracking movement that helps prevent the phone from turning off and keep the screen from dimming while in use.
Another interesting feature of the Samsung Galaxy S3 is it’s voice recognition software – S Voice. Yes S voice just like Apple’s Siri voice recognition software. This is probably going to ignite some new sparks between the two companies.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 is available without contract for $799 on Amazon. But you’ll definitely get a better deal by signing up with your local wireless carrier. The Samsung Galaxy S3 is available in two colors pebble blue or marble white.
