ZTE introducing two new Android phones in the UK – ZTE Libra and ZTE Tureis

ZTE is set to release to Android phones in the UK, the ZTE Libra and the ZTE Tureis. These releases are in accordance to ZTE marketing plan to be recognized as an Android brand manufacturer and not just as the manufacturer behind successful phones such as the Orange Monte Carlo (aka ZTE Skate).

The ZTE Libra features a 3.5-inch touchscreen and will run Android 2.2 Froyo. This Android device will be powered by a 600 MHz processor with 512 MB of RAM and memory expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card.
The ZTE Libra can take pictures with a 3.2 megapixel camera.
The Libra will have Wi-Fi, hotspot capabilities, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack and FM radio.

The ZTE Tureis on the other hand is a candy bar smartphone featuring a 2.6-inch touchscreen with a full QWERTY keyboard. The Tureis is powered by a 800MHz processor with 512 MB of RAM and memory expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. The ZTE Tureis also take pictures with a simple 3.2 megapixel camera. The features available for the Tureis are very similar to the Libra and include, Wi-Fi, hotspot capabilities, GPS, 3.5mm headset jack.

Both phones should become available in the UK in the coming month. Prices have not be determined but the low mid range Android phone should retail for free with contract.
