Motorola is not only making high-end smartphones, after the Motorola Atrix, Photon and Droid 3, Motorola is introducing the Motorola XT316. This Android phone is a budget phone and is available in the US running Android 2.2 Froyo. The Motorola XT316 is also known as the Motorola Fire in Europe and as the Motorola Spice Key in Latin America.
Both the Fire and Spice Key will be running Android 2.3 Gingerbread when released.
The same specs apply for the Motorola XT316, Fire and Spice Key.
This Android phone is a bar shape phone with a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen and a full QWERTY keyboard. This Motorola device will be powered by a 600MHz processor with 256MB of RAM and 512MB of ROM. The phone will have a 3 megapixel rear-facing camera, Bluetooth, FM radio, GPS, and Wi-Fi. The phone can be personalized by changing the back covers.
One of the strong point of the Motorola XT316/ Fire/ Spice Key is the battery life. The battery for this phone can provide you with up to 8 hours of talktime and 27 hours of standby. Not bad for a budget phone.
Release date and pricing for this Motorola budget phone have yet to be determined, all we know is that it is due this summer.
