Play music stored from your Android device onto any Onkyo receiver

Android is coming to Onkyo. That’s right, starting next month, Onkyo will launch an app that allow users to play the music stored on their Android device to an Onkyo receiver or Hi-Fi system.

The app will be available for free on the Android Market and will work through home Wi-Fi. The music will be streamed via the home network to the Onkyo receiver for a perfect sound on your Onkyo audio system. You can also use your Android device to control via a GUI the input source, adjust volume and even control individual zones. Basically, what your receiver can do, you can do it directly from your Android device without the need of turning on your TV for on screen menus.

The app will work with all of the 2011 Onkyo AV receivers. Pretty neat, now you can really enjoy your music on your big speakers!
