The much acclaimed note taking app Evernote for iOS mobile and Android device just got updated. This update is actually for Android devices including mobiles and tablets. iOS update will follow shortly.

One of the main update to Evernote is the ability to take rich text note on your mobile/ tablet device. The ability to take rich text notes has been a very in demand feature by users.

As usual you’ll be able to take notes, capture photos, record audio reminders, to do lists and more right from your Android device.

With this new version of the Evernote app focusing on Android tablets, the homescreen has been rearranged with snippet views on the side bar. These snippets provide instant access to previous notes, right from your main home screen.

In addition to being able to search your notes by location, this update improves smartphone performance with faster loading time.
No app will be complete without social networking functions, and the Evernote app is no exception. This update integrates Facebook right into your notes, just a button away.

Of course, the beauty behind all this is that it is available for free on the Android Market. And yes, for once, the app is available on Android before iOS. Nice.
