Australian wireless carrier Telstra is really going after Android phones. After the exclusive release of the HTC Sensation on its Next G network, Telstra scored big again with the exclusive release of Sony Ericsson’s Xperia Neo.
The Xperia Neo is a mid-range phone complementing the Xperia Arc. It features a 3.7-inch touchscreen and is powered by a 1GHz processor with 320MB of memory. The camera on this phone boasts 8 megapixel and is equipped with Exmore R sensor for low-light conditions shooting. This handset will also be able to shoot HD-quality videos and display them on the handset with Mobile Bravia Engine technology for clear image display or via the HDMI port to your big screen TV.
The Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and will feature Telstra HD voice technology for crystal clear conversations. The phone will only be available in one Blue gradient colour.
The Xperia Neo is set to launch on Telstra Next G network starting from July 26. The phone will be yours for free upon a two year $59 Freedom Connect Plan agreement.
