[Price Update] Vizio taking pre-orders for Vizio Tablet, price starting from $379.
There’s a newcomer in the tablet market – Vizio. The TV manufacturer is preparing to launch its first Android tablet this summer.
The Vizio Tablet features an 8-inch touchscreen and is running on a 1GHz processor. If Vizio did not change the specs they’ve showed us during this years CES, the tablet should be running Android 3.0 Honeycomb.
The Vizio tablet will have one front facing camera, a GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and micro SD card slot. Note that this tablet will have three surround sound speakers; the sound rotates from one speaker to another when you switch from portrait to landscape mode.

The Vizio Tablet features the Via apps from Vizio. You can control your TV directly from your Vizio tablet, it acts just as a remote control. But wait there’s more! You can also watch any content from your big screen to your Vizio tablet or your Vizio phone!
All these new gadgets should come out shortly this summer.
The Vizio Tablet is set to retail for $349 USD. No specific date has been released yet.
