Vodafone is introducing the most affordable Android handset so far – the Smart 858. This rebranded Huawei device will cost as little as €90/ £80 (USD $130) on pay as you go.
The Smart 858 will run on Android 2.2 Froyo and feature a 2.8 inch screen. Under the hood, is a 528MHz Qualcomm processor, loaded with 130MB of memory, 2 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
With this low price, Vodafone is aiming at a young market, and the phone comes loaded with social network features such as Facebook and Twitter.
With a price like this, the Vodafone Smart is a very affordable phone for the mass market. Launch time should be around the summer, so it’ll be the perfect phone to bring with you to keep in touch during your vacation.
The phone will be available in two colors, black or white.
Vodafone, will first offer this phone in Italy, Germany and the UK.
