HTC Wildfire S to hit AT&T Wireless?

HTC just got the approval from the FCC for its latest device to enter the US market, model number NM8PG76110 or better known as the HTC Wildfire S.

The Wildfire S will be a dual band phone supporting 850 and 1900MHz bands, so we can assume that it will be available on AT&T very shortly. This mid level phone comes with a 3.2 inch display, a 600 MHz Qualcomm processor, 512MB of RAM and ROM. A 5 megapixel camera with flash, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth completes the technical specs of this phone.
One important point this phone introduces is that it will be one of the only phone for the moment to run Android 2.3 Gingerbread as most phone still run on Android 2.2 Froyo. The Android interface will be overlayed by HTC’s own User Interface HTC Sense version 3.0.

This handset was introduced this year at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona and is already available in the UK for around £200. India should be next inline with predicted shipments for next week; estimated price should be around INR 16,000 (USD 360). For Canadians, the phone should hit Bell and Sasktel in June; so it shouldn’t be too long before the Wildfire S hits the US market as well.
