Huawei is ready to launch a brand new line of affordable smartphones in India – IDEOS. These Android smartphones will be available across the country at Aircel or Tata DOCOMO stores.

IDEOS is available in 4 colors and comes with Google Android Froyo 2.2, equipped with a 2.8 inch touch screen, a G-sensor for layout adjustment, and an ambient light sensors to adjust screen lightness to preserve battery among other things.
Furthermore, IDEOS comes with an imbedded 3G USB modem allowing you to serve as a Wi-Fi hotspot and to connect to other devices. Download speed uses the latest HSDPA technology at 7.2Mbps, so you can stream movies or share files anywhere, anytime at incredible speeds.

The IDEOS comes by default with Android’s usual application such as Gmail, YouTube, Google Talk, Google Maps and other social networking softwares.

The retail price of Huawei’s IDEOS is Rs 8,499, which amounts to a bit less than 200.00 US dollars. “Innovation and premium experiences shouldn’t be restricted to high-priced devices. We believe that IDEOS will redefine the Internet experience for Indian youth,” Huawei Devices marketing Director Anand Narang said.

All in all, the IDEOS is probably one of the smallest and most affordable Android on the market, but with a lot to offer for its price.
