LG’s first Android phone is out!

LG finally announced the release of its first Android phone, the InTouch Max GW620 available only on T-Mobile or Virgin Media in the UK.

With this first release, LG officially joins the growing Android providers.
John Barton, Sales and Marketing Director for LG – Mobile described the launch as ” a symbolic launch for us. It signals the end of expensive and exclusive applications and the start of applications for everyone. Many people don’t actually know that the Android market offers an impressive 20,000 plus applications which are easy to download, and of which 65% are free – and this selection is growing every day! ”

InTouchMax GW620

The GW620 or also known as Etna, comes with most “standard” features Android devices come with nowadays, namely, 5 megapixel camera, 3 inch touch screen, 3.5 audio jack, A-GPS and a full slide out qwerty keyboard.

The GW620 will be available on,
– T-Mobile, for free based on £20 a month for 24-month contract, with unlimited data.
– Virgin Media, for free based on £22 a month for 18-month contract, with unlimited texts and data.
